Introduction
Baby Village started with Megantic in November 2020. It is a family oriented baby store operating in a highly competitive industry and we were engaged to:
- Grow a range of key digital transaction metrics
- Acquire NEW customers
- Prepare the website for Migration to Headless eCommerce platform (front end: Shopify / back end: Baniro)
Insight
We were faced with a number of challenges to overcome in order to make this campaign successful;
- Fixed technical on-site and off-site issues before rolling out our strategy.
- Identified new opportunities to target in the organic channel.
- Created better user experience through navigation and functionality.
- Improved the menu, category hierarchy and sidebar functionality.
Specifically, migration preparation was a unique challenge for us to manage/ navigate. We implemented future url structures to minimise keyword fluctuations.

Summary
Since November 2020 we’ve cohesively executed a holistic eCommerce SEO strategy that provides genuine impact for Baby Village’s budget & outcomes.
Specifically, we enhanced the main menu, executed a custom sidebar with indexable static links, conducted on page SEO, content & linking, enhanced search bot accessibility with crawling/ indexing enhancements, minimised 404 errors & validated 301 redirects. Our approach has grown and protected the organic against updates & capitalised on capturing new customer demand.
