We have been running these programs yearly since 2021. We have invited students to participate if they have an interest in digital marketing, technology, web development, eCommerce, SEM and SEO. The programs give students a chance to learn more about what full-time work in a digital marketing agency involves and to learn more specific digital marketing skills, such as campaign management, Google Analytics reporting and client interactions.

2021: Mentoring Students at The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School
Why we participate in these programs
The aim of these programs was to help create learning opportunities for students with an interest in digital marketing and eCommerce.
They would learn about what we do as industry professionals at Megantic and be mentored by some of the best in the business. The program has given students the
opportunity to explore and learn more about what full time work in a digital marketing agency involves.
Engaging in a mentorship program offers our team a wealth of benefits. Through this experience, we have enhanced our communication skills,
leadership abilities, and are being recognised in the industry as subject-matter experts. Beyond self-improvement, it is also a fulfilling way
to give back to our local community by making a positive impact and empowering female students for their future endeavours.
Megantic & The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School mentorship program
In our mentoring sessions with students from The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School, we covered various aspects of search engine optimisation (SEO) and digital marketing. From understanding the basics of SEO to delving into technical aspects like coding and website creation.
Additionally, we emphasised the importance of maintaining a focused and productive mindset in the workplace. Throughout the program, students actively engaged in hands-on activities and learned about real life in the industry. Our mentorship sessions equipped them with practical knowledge, setting them on the path to becoming future SEO professionals, ready to thrive in the dynamic world of digital marketing.
Megantic & Deakin University mentorship program
The mentorship program with Deakin University was quite similar to the program for high school students, except the content taught was at a higher level. This program is in partnership with Deakin University and the Victorian Government for the eCommerce Accelerator Program.
We begin by delving into SEO fundamentals, understanding essential practices and how we conduct our customer research and site architecture updates. The next focus is web development and coding, where students learn the technical aspects that impact search engine rankings. The program then shifted to data mapping and analysis, uncovering the importance of extracting valuable insights to optimize SEO and other marketing strategies.
